About Us

Echoing Values of Catholic Social Teaching (CST)

The Jesuit Centre for Theological Reflection (JCTR) is a faith-based organisation and a ministry of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) that has been operating in Zambia since 1988 to promote social justice. Guided by the principles of Catholic Social Teaching (CST), JCTR is committed to addressing the needs of the vulnerable and marginalised within the Zambian population.

Our work focuses on advocating for pro-poor policies that foster economic development, reduce poverty, and enhance access to human rights and essential social services, ensuring dignity and equity for all.

Our partners and collaborators

At the Jesuit Centre for Theological Reflection (JCTR), our mission is strengthened by the invaluable support of our partners and collaborators. We work closely with faith-based organisations, civil society groups, academic institutions, government agencies, and international development partners to advance justice and dignity for all. These partnerships enable us to amplify the voices of marginalised communities, conduct evidence-based research, advocate for equitable policies, and provide resources that promote sustainable development. Together, we are building a more just and inclusive society grounded in faith, integrity, and the pursuit of the common good.
