The JCTR Bulletin serves as a platform for thoughtful analysis and informed dialogue on issues affecting Zambia and the wider region. We welcome original contributions from academics, researchers, development practitioners, policymakers, students and other professionals whose work aligns with JCTR's mission of promoting social justice and sustainable human development.

Guidelines

Please follow the editorial guidelines provided on this page before completing the submission form.

Typography and Formatting Guidelines

To ensure consistency and readability across all JCTR Bulletin publications, contributors are requested to follow the recommended formatting and typography requirements when preparing their manuscripts.


Submitted articles should:

  • Be prepared in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
  • Use Times New Roman, 12-point font size for the main body text.
  • Use 1.5 line spacing throughout the document.
  • Align text to the left and avoid full justification where possible.
  • Use bold formatting for main headings and subheadings.
  • Use italics for emphasis, foreign words, book titles and publication titles where appropriate.
  • Include page numbers in the footer.
  • Use standard margins (2.54 cm / 1 inch on all sides).
  • Ensure tables, figures and images are clearly labelled and referenced within the text.
  • Include references and citations using a consistent referencing style (e.g., APA, Chicago or another recognised academic style).


Recommended Article Structure

Authors are encouraged to structure submissions using the following format:

Title
A clear and concise title reflecting the main focus of the article.

Author Details
Name, institution/organisation and a brief author profile.

Introduction
An overview of the topic, issue or argument being presented.

Main Discussion
Analysis, evidence, reflections or findings.

Conclusion and Recommendations
Key messages, implications or recommendations arising from the article.

References
Sources consulted and cited in the article.

The manuscript is assessed for relevance and compliance with the editorial guidelines.

3.Review

Editors may contact you with feedback or requests for revisions.

4. Publication

Accepted articles are scheduled for publication in a forthcoming edition of the JCTR Bulletin.
