National Summit on Climate Change Adaptation and Environmental Change Management

On Tuesday, 26 August 2025, the Jesuit Centre for Theological Reflection (JCTR), in collaboration with the Ministry of Green Economy and Environment (MGEE), will convene the National Summit on Climate Change Adaptation and Environmental Change Management in Lusaka. This dialogue provides a timely and inclusive platform for government, civil society, development partners, traditional leaders, and communities to reflect on Zambia’s climate change realities and explore sustainable pathways for environmental stewardship.


The summit will be graced by the Honourable Minister of Green Economy and Environment, Mr. Mike Mposha, who will deliver the keynote address. The programme will feature a rich blend of activities including citizen testimonies, thematic presentations, and panel discussions on Zambia’s climate adaptation and mitigation strategies, the legal and financing frameworks for environmental protection, agroecology, and the critical roles of citizens and partners in advancing resilience.
